I Got Pregnant At 16 and Attempted To Get Rid Of It

” It was the summer season of2018 Perhaps it was because he was a little older, possibly it was since I spent all my time with him. Or maybe it was because they saw him as a “bad influence”.

At least, that was the plan … before I discovered I was pregnant.

It hit me like a train. I could not even hold the pregnancy test; my hands were shaking so hard. This was every woman’s worst problem. And, I do not understand, at the time, it felt even worse for me because no one might know. I was all alone. And I can’t tell you how bad it could get if anybody discovered, but I can inform you that it would involve the cops and attorneys. And even if everyone supported us, I still couldn’t bring this life. I couldn’t even drive for God’s sake. And based upon my math, I couldn’t have been more than 8 weeks along. The clock was ticking therefore I decided to get rid of it.

Unlike the surgical alternative, this way I could get a one-and-done injection or something I could take at home – something pain-free, and most importantly – private. The bad news though, was that practically all methods– at least the safe ones – required my moms and dads’ signature. I was already around 9 weeks, and so time was running out.

Now, I knew they offered what I needed at the drug store. Walking past all the baby food, diapers, and toys, it was kind of surreal to see what my life could have looked like if I didn’t interfere. I even had to inspect if I had sufficient cash with me.

As soon as I got house, I locked myself in my space as I studied the package. To my surprise, it wasn’t going to as rapidly as I ‘d hoped. According to the box, based upon how far along I was, it would take anywhere from one to 6 hours from when I took it to when whatever “came out” similar to a duration. What this meant was I could not do it in the house, where my parents were 24/ 7. I needed a clean and hassle-free space. Rather of doing it that night as I ‘d prepared, I waited another week when I was set up to babysit my cousins overnight. I would’ve been around 10 weeks already, however it was a risk I had to take.

It was a waiting game now. I ‘d taken it. And by tomorrow early morning this whole problem would be over. That was my hope right up until the moment I started feeling it. Something wasn’t. It started with cramps – as I expected – but it simply kept ramping up until it seemed like a blender was going off in there. It was available in pulses; waves. Soon, I realized this was absolutely nothing like a period. This was pure pain. I could not stand. I might barely think. All I understood was that this wasn’t going to be quick or painless. I wasn’t going to make it … The last thing I remember is hearing the door open, and seeing a little thing come out. I think … that was my …

The next thing I understand, I’m on a bed. In a healthcare facility. There’s a nurse by my side, monitoring my vitals, and as our eyes meet – “You’re awake!” I wanted to know what took place. How did I get here?” That’s when she informed me that it was my little cousin Arthur, who had actually discovered me and called the ambulance. He conserved my life. And now I wish to pay it forward. I desire this story to be a lesson in making decisions you can reflect on and smile about; a lesson that asks: would your more youthful self take pride in the person you’ve become today?”

We chose this story due to the fact that we wish to encourage individuals to speak out if something comparable has taken place to them and to seek assistance if they’re still in such a scenario. We hope this video will encourage individuals to feel compassion and compassion for those who have actually gone through such experiences. And we hope that it will encourage all of us to do what we can to avoid these things from occurring. Even if it does occur we want to motivate people to defend their own security
