For example, parent A have brown eyes, while parent B has green eyes, the probability of having green or brown color is 50% if the parents have heterozygous genes. If parents have homozygous genes, the chances of getting brown eyes are 99%, but this is less likely to happen.

Another example is that, if parent A has green eyes while parent B has hazel, the chances of having hazel or green is 50%. If they are having heterozygous genes, most likely they will have 50% chance of having hazel or green color. Similarly, if they have homozygous genes, they also have 50% chance of getting either colors.
