You think you’re pregnant? Check the signs of pregnancy so you won’t be surprised when you are having unusual changes in your body. A checklist of all the early pregnancy symptoms will give you an idea if you are pregnant, but some of these signs are not obvious, or may appear. You will experience several signs and emotional changes during pregnancy. These may include any of the signs listed below.

Missed Period
This must be the most alarming and obvious sign of pregnancy. In some women, they may only experience a light period. Although this is not a reliable sign because it may also indicate other health problems, missed period is a good indicator of pregnancy. In addition, you might not feel any of the other pregnancy signs until the time you observe you’ve missed your menstrual period.

Exhaustion
This is described as feeling tired all of a sudden. This symptom is believed by experts to be caused by the increasing levels of the hormone progesterone, which also contributes to your sleepiness. If you suddenly want an afternoon nap, you could be pregnant.

Nausea And Vomiting
This symptom can happen at any time. Most pregnant women encounter this pregnancy sign about 4 weeks after conception, but it may also occur very early. It can appear immediately two weeks after conception and usually disappear by the end of the first trimester of pregnancy. To reduce the discomfort it causes, try to have small frequent feeding throughout the day, eat crackers or toast, or drink fruit juices.

Breast Tenderness
A breast that is tender to touch is also a common sign of pregnancy. The uneasiness you feel in your breasts is closely alike with what you experience before your menstruation, only more so. After 12 weeks, the discomfort you feel should decrease considerably, as your body has learned to adapt with the new hormonal changes.

Food Cravings And Aversions
This is not an independent indicative symptom but this is common during early pregnancy. If cravings appeared along with other symptoms, there is a big likelihood that you are really pregnant. This symptom is very common for first time mothers to find normally acceptable tasting foods or even pleasant smells repulsive and overpowering early in the pregnancy. The sense of taste also changes.

Frequent Urination
In most pregnant women, frequent urination can appear very soon, as early as two weeks after conception. The peak of this pregnancy symptom occurs during the third trimester. You urinate frequently more than the usual because of the growing uterus that compresses the bladder and causes frequent urination during pregnancy.

A Positive Pregnancy Test
Pregnancy begins shortly after conception; therefore you must confirm it first by using a pregnancy test and if positive, make an appointment with your health care provider to confirm the good news. You can then start to read articles about how to have a safe and good pregnancy health.
