Abortion - A Life Ended Before It Started

A night of reckless passion can lead to days of trauma and depression. Teenagers have got used to events like beer and sex, where you meet random people from opposite sex, get along over drinks and under the influence of alcohol get cozy. According to teenagers, such moments are what makes life fun. Well, everything one does under the influence of alcohol is never fun.

The history of abortion and why it came into existence

Getting pregnant at a young age isn’t a good idea. Originally, abortion was a medical procedure developed to remove the dead fetus from the womb in case of miscarriage or a severe accident. With time and cultural advancement, this medical procedure has got a different name and practical use. Now people use it to prevent unwanted pregnancies. This is the reason, in many nations, abortion is still banned. What’s more, countries like Ireland do not allow abortion to take place at all and it’s really difficult to undergo abortion there. Of course, this has some negative sides too as the mother might die in case there is danger to her health if abortion is not carried out.

An unintended pregnancy can lead to many complications, especially for the woman. This is because in most societies, pre-marital sex is considered a taboo, even today.

What do studies today say?

According to a recent study, 49% of abortions are of girls who are below 20 in age and are unmarried. Abortion has really been like a fine you pay after you are caught for over speeding to a policeman. Think about it this way. You can remove your clothes, jump into bed with your partner without caring about the world and later you visit the clinic near your place to abort the child.

Right to life is the basic and the fundamental right of every human being. From centuries, the idea of life has been celebrated and nurtured. In today’s world, practices and ideologies have changed and so has the concept of abortion.

Abortion refers to killing or preventing the growth of the child in the mother. If we look at country statistics, France has an abortion rate (per 1000 women ) of 20.9, UK being at 20.7 and Russia 30.3. This rate is disturbing and we really need to understand what is leading to this situation.

The common reasons for undergoing an abortion include-

· Non-preparation to be a mother

· Financial issues

· Student or not self-independent

· Unmarried

· Partner issues or Family and Societal Concerns.

However, it is not necessary that a woman always willingly allows letting her child be aborted. There are instances wherein external pressure from families or the husband was put on her, or for that matter; cases of sexual harassment and rapes have also been on the verge of increase that could have culminated into this issue.

Be it for any reason, practicing abortion on oneself is one of the most serious damages one can cause to one’s body. It is of ultimate importance to understand that though abortion might appear to be the easy way out, it is considered to be illegal and barred in almost 30 states of the United States. However, in cases of rape, incest or drug date, an abortion could be considered. However it must be chosen only when the mother is psychologically unable to handle the baby.

Abortions can be lethal for the health of the female carrying the baby – she may not have strong enough of a mechanism or enough mature womb to carry a baby or go under abortion. Abortion can also lead to the death of the female protagonist from the story of over-passionate desire and uncontrolled demeanors.
