When exposed to air, sperm can live from 20 minutes to several hours depending on the environmental conditions. Hence, it is possible for a woman to get pregnant if there is sperm on objects which come in contact with her vagina.
Artificial Insemination
Now, consider the women that actually want to get pregnant, but are unable to naturally. They will use non-penetrative methods to get pregnant. One common method is in-vitro fertilization. This is a procedure that allows the egg to be fertilized outside of the body, and then implanted into the uterus.
These are all myths that some women actually believe, especially younger teenage girls. They feel that they are able to bypass getting pregnant if they follow certain “rules”. They are sadly mistaken. Due to being misinformed, many teens end up pregnant each and every year. If more teens would learn the facts about sex and pregnancy, there would likely be far less accidental teen pregnancies. Make sure that your teens are well informed when it comes to sex and pregnancy.
